Comunicado conjunto de Euskal Herriaren Lagunak

¡Basta de represión, soluciones políticas para Euskal Herria!
El pasado viernes 17 de septiembre, la Audiencia Nacional española emitió su veredicto sobre el llamado "Caso Bateragune" condenando a 10 años de cárcel a Arnaldo Otegi y Rafa diez, y a 8 años a Miren Zabaleta, Arkaitz Rodriguez y Sonia Jacinto bajo la acusación de haber iniciado, siguiendo las ordenes de la organización ETA, la nueva estrategia de la izquierda independentista que apuesta única y exclusivamente por las vías políticas y pacificas.
Esta sentencia, como todas las que nutren la interminable lista de atropellos jurídico-politicos en contra de la militancia independentista vasca, dejó en evidencia no solamente el despropósito jurídico en el que se basa sino la posición de un Estado español que a falta de argumentos políticos se enfrenta al nuevo escenario abierto en Euskal Herria con su arma predilecta: la represión.
Ante esta situación, nosotros y nosotras que trabajamos la solidaridad con la lucha del pueblo por su liberación queremos denunciar una vez más la conculcación de derechos civiles y políticos que padece el Pueblo vasco y específicamente los y las que buscan un salida justa y pacífica al conflicto político que enfrenta Euskal Herria con los estados francés y español.
En este sentido, los comités de solidaridad con Euskal Herria Euskal Herriaren Lagunak queremos expresar nuestra más firme solidaridad a todo@s l@s compañer@s condenad@s en el "Caso Bateragune" así como a los más de 700 pres@s políticas vascas retenidas en condiciones inhumanas en las cárceles españolas y francesas.
Estamos convencid@ de que la izquierda idependentista superará, como tantas otras veces, esta situación crítica, reafirmándose en su apuesta política y prosiguiendo su trabajo para alcanzar la liberación de su pueblo. Sobra decir que en este camino contarán con nuestro más sincero y comprometido apoyo internacionalista.

Schluss mit der Repression – eine politische Lösung für das Baskenland!
Am Freitag, den 17. September 2011, gab das spanische Sondergericht Audiencia Nacional ihr Urteil im so genannten “Fall Bateragune” bekannt. Arnaldo Otegi und Rafa Diez wurden zu je 10 Jahren Gefängnis, Miren Zabaleta, Arkaitz Rodriquez und Sonia Jacinto zu je 8 Jahren verurteilt. Sie hätten die neue Strategie der Abertzalen (pro-Unabhängigkeits-) Linken, die ausschließlich auf friedliche und politische Mittel setzt, auf Anweisung der bewaffneten Organisation ETA initiiert.
Dieses Urteil reiht sich ein in die endlose Liste juristisch-politischer Aggressionen gegen baskische pro-Unabhängigkeitsaktivisten. Es ist nicht nur juristisch absurd, es zeigt auch die Haltung der spanischen Regierung, die in Ermangelung politischer Argumente dem neuen Szenario im Baskenland mit ihrer bevorzugten Waffe begegnet: der Repression.
Als Solidaritätsbewegung unterstützen wir durch unsere Arbeit den Kampf der Menschen im Baskenland für ihre Freiheit. Angesichts der Urteile möchten wir einmal mehr gegen die Verletzung der Bürgerrechte und der politischen Rechte im Baskenland protestieren. Insbesondere protestieren wir gegen die Versuche, jene mundtot zu machen, die eine gerechte und friedliche Lösung des politischen Konflikts zwischen dem Baskenland und dem spanischen sowie dem französischen Staat suchen.
Außerdem nehmen wir Solidaritätskomitees mit dem Baskenland, Euskal Herriaren Lagunak, dies zum Anlass, den im „Fall Bateragune“ Verurteilten zu versichern, dass dieses Urteil unsere Solidarität bestärkt. Wir senden ihnen und den über 700 politischen Gefangenen, die unter inhumanen Bedingungen in spanischen und französischen Gefängnissen gehalten werden, unsere solidarischen Grüße.
Wir sind überzeugt, dass die Abertzale Linke auch diesmal, wie so oft schon zuvor, diese kritische Situation besteht und ihre politische Arbeit weiterführt. Sie kann dabei auf unsere internationalistische Unterstützung zählen.
Enough of repression – A political solution for the Basque Country!
Last Friday, the 17th of September, the Spanish National Court published its verdict on the so-called “Bateragune Case”, passing sentences of ten years’ jail each on Arnaldo Otegi and on Rafa Diez, along with eight years each on Miren Zabaleta, Arkaitz Rodriquez and Sonia Jacinto, on charges of having put forward, under orders from the armed organization ETA, the new strategy of the Abertzale (pro-Independence) Left which is directed solely and exclusively along peaceful and political lines.
This sentence, as with all those that compose the unending list of judicial-political abuses against Basque pro-independence activists, lays bare not only the juridical absurdity on which it is based but also the position of the Spanish Government which, in the absence of political arguments, faces the new open scenario in the Basque Country with its preferred weapon: repression.
Confronted with this situation, we who work in the arena of solidarity with the struggle of the Basque people for its liberation wish once again to denounce the violation of civil and political rights suffered by the Basque people and especially those who seek a just and peaceful solution to the political conflict which pits the Basque Country against the French and Spanish states.
Accordingly, the committees of solidarity with the Basque Country, Euskal Herriaren Lagunak, wish to express even stronger solidarity with all the sentenced comrades of the “Bateragune Case” and also with the in excess of 700 political prisoners kept in inhumane conditions in Spanish and French jails.
We are convinced that the Abertzale Left will overcome, as with on so many other occasions, this critical situation, reafirming its political bid and continuing its work to achieve the liberation of its people. Suffice it to say that in this path it can count on our most earnest and committed internationalist support.
La répression ça suffit ! Il faut des solutions politiques pour le Pays basque
Le vendredi 17 septembre, l'Audience Nationale espagnole a fait connaître la sentence du procès connu sous le nom de Bateragune. Elle a condamné Arnaldo Otegi et Rafa Diez à 10 ans de prison, Miren Zabaleta, Arkaitz Rodriguez et Sonia Jacinto à 8 ans. Tous sont accusés d'avoir travaillé, sous la direction de l'organisation ETA, en faveur de la nouvelle stratégie de la gauche indépendantiste qui a décidé de n'utiliser que des voies politiques et pacifiques.
Cette sentence, comme toutes celles qui constituent la liste interminable des procès bidon contre les militants indépendantistes basques, a mis en évidence l'absurdité juridique de ce procès, ainsi que la position de l'État espagnol qui n'ayant pas d'arguments politiques, affronte le nouveau scénario existant au Pays basque avec la seule arme qu'il connaît, la répression.
Face à cette situation, nous, qui travaillons dans la solidarité avec la lutte du peuple basque pour sa libération, voulons dénoncer une fois de plus cette attaque contre les droits civils et politiques du peuple basque et notamment contre ceux qui cherchent une sortie juste et pacifique au conflit politique qui oppose le Pays basque aux États français et espagnol.
En ce sens, nous, les Comités de solidarité avec le peuple basque et les Ami(e)s du Pays basque (Euskal Herriaren Lagunak) voulons exprimer notre plus ferme solidarité avec tous les camarades condamnés dans le procès Bateragune, ainsi qu'avec les plus de 700 prisonnières et prisonniers politiques basques retenus dans des conditions terribles dans les prisons espagnoles et françaises.
Nous sommes convaincus que la gauche indépendantiste saura surmonter, comme tant de fois, cette situation critique, en réaffirmant son pari politique et en poursuivant son travail jusqu'à la libération de son peuple. Dans ce chemin, elle peut compter sur tout notre soutien internationaliste le plus sincère.
